7jun24 the detour(road) to Greenfield, IN.

I was talking to the hotel staff this morning, a lovely lady by the name of Koti Hester. She asked me if I would put her mother-in-law Penny Hester on the list and ride for her today.  Penny, todays ride is for you.

What a day. The miles were low the winds were in our favor, the temperatures were good……the road crews not so good. First road construction was a couple miles outside of Crawfordsville. The road was closed so We had to take a small detour but it really wasn’t too bad.  We even had a greeter to encourage us on.

More open fields, farmland, quaint farm houses, and small towns.

We got into Indianapolis and almost got out unscathed but the road crews snagged us again. About 2 miles on a really crappy road that jarred your teeth loose followed by a slight detour. Again, not too bad; a quick right turn up one block a quick left down four blocks and then a right turn and we were back on track.  And unfortunately that’s about all I have for today not a whole lot maybe tomorrow will be more pictures and more events hopefully not as many detours.

Final day

Well this is the final day, 20 miles, most on a bike path, a meetup at Dunkin’ Donuts then a final 4 miles promenade to the Atlantic ocean....
