Sitting in the lobby this morning after breakfast looking up and I noticed this very interesting lamp that would make a great picture so I tried it a couple different angles and I think I like this angle the best.

It should be a really nice day for biking today; temperatures will be in the mid 70s, not overly bright slight cloud cover and a bit of a tailwind. So about 10 miles out I’m watching the cornfields and I noticed how black the soil is. Extremely rich in nutrients. My suspicion is you could probably drop a penny and it would sprout dollar bills in 30 days.  Soon enough we enter the town of St. Joseph’s and the Park had a very nice memorial so I got that in my pictures too.

Most of the morning I was behind everybody just relaxing not in a rush just enjoying the morning enjoying the pedaling, enjoying the sounds and at one point I looked down and realized I was moving at a pretty good clip and the miles and the towns were rolling by quickly.

Before long I had traveled 40 miles and came upon the SAG stop. Got some munchy crunches and some fluids and hit the road again. I was about 10 miles from the Indiana border. Stopped to take a picture and this man and his wife drove by in a pick up truck the guy seemed fine with us being there but the woman seemed extremely put out that we were on the road. I’m pretty sure she flipped us off.  Lol, Nice couple…

They were more cornfields and I could see Terry and Alex in the distance so I caught up with them and rode with them for a little bit.

At one point I crossed this river and there were a ton of barn swallows flying about. My suspicion is that there’s probably a lot of mud nests under the bridge since they were so close to a water supply.  After the river I saw this house; it was pretty cool it had big bushes alternating on both sides of the driveway it looked very nice.

Due to road construction we had to take a slight detour and the cottonwood trees were dumping a ton of pods and I tried to catch it on film but it just didn’t work out.

Soon there after we were welcomed to the town of Hillsboro… I’ll let you read the sign but I wonder who the old codger’s are.

And that’s it for todays ride.

Well this is the final day, 20 miles, most on a bike path, a meetup at Dunkin’ Donuts then a final 4 miles promenade to the Atlantic ocean....
