So after breakfast I came back to the room to get stuff ready and this guy was peeking in the window, I’m pretty sure he was looking for a handout.
unfortunately, I had to deny him access. Hotel rules, no pets. We headed out and came to Spearville, Which appears to be a huge windmill area. Some of the information at the visitor site was rather interesting. From there we went to Offerle and had a sag break followed by watching a jet body being transported to the Boeing factory.
I saw these two buildings alongside the railroad tracks, obviously abandoned. It looks like from a long ago time it was a granary And would offload the grain onto the railroad.
We continued on route 50 into Kinsley Kansas which is the midway point geographically speaking of the US.
The round building at the top is a high school. I think the design of it being round is to prevent it from Highwinds such as tornadoes.
A few more pictures of landscape and a picture of a roadside chapel from the Garfield presidency era.
Pawnee rock is the top 2and the storm is the bottom one. Below are some markers for Pawnee rock. And that’s it for tonight folks.
