It should be a great day today, great temps, tailwind everything is good BUT a chance of rain late afternoon. Vans are packed, trucks packed and riders are off.
It’s definitely pretty country, there are these “tufts” of grass on the roadside. Interesting. We’re starting to see more trains and longer ones. I saw one today perhaps 100 cars long and the cars were full of coal. That’s a lot of power!
Ok, flat one of the day, and again there’s those grass tufts.
From there we jump onto Historic RT 66 and go west another 25 miles. Here’s some of what I saw.
Do you notice the clouds? I did, time to pick up the pace, no more lolly-gagging….
15 miles further is the SAG stop for the day. Kind of a refueling stop at the Continental divide. Grin.
