Sunrise out of the hotel And anxious riders ready to start. Should be a great day today 94 miles light winds and mostly sunny.
Just a beautiful day you can see the environment is starting to change. Out of the desert into the High Plains. Amazing views and great topography.
Well, I guess if you’re going to get a flat the scenery here is as good as anywhere else.
The train in the bottom picture was relatively small only 80 cars and two engines. The next two pictures are trees and taller shrubs probably a river there or at least a flow of water at some point of the year. Oh yeah, and the road goes on forever. Oops, my mistake, it curves to the left then goes on forever.
Eventually we crossed into New Mexico, the traffic was too heavy to stop and get a picture of the “welcome to New Mexico” sign.
The above pictures are in New Mexico and they were old cave dwellers locations. After that I stopped at the New Mexico welcome Center, got a couple of nice pictures with some clouds moving in and basically 15 miles from the end of the day.
I think today was quite similar to yesterday, I believe I fixed seven flats. All in all it was a wonderful day and a great day for riding.
