Again, no cancer dedications. The people I checked with haven’t had any dealings with cancer. Lucky for them. So today is a trip from Kirkville, Missouri to Quincy, Illinois about 75 miles roughly. Not much to take pictures of, it was pretty boring I guess. Anyway, so this first picture I thought might be interesting if I could keep the bike straight and get the road between the aerobars. The wheels a little off but oh well. After 15 miles this was the best I could do. Lol
Since the scenery wasn’t anything stunning or interesting I just took pictures of the little towns that we went through. The first one that I got a picture of, I’m not sure if it’s the first little town or not but the first one I got a picture of is La Belle, Missouri population 660 people.
Not much there, the houses were cute and well-maintained but with a population of 660… After that the next picture is from Lewistown and the sign says it was established in 1871. They had a really nice park well-maintained; just a very nice and pleasant park.

Right around Lewistown was the mileage marker for 2000 miles. So, 2000 miles down 1364 to go. Heck, I think we could probably do that in about four days… OK, well maybe not….. The first SAG stop was around mile 34 after that there was a water stop/power bar stop at mile 50. I stopped briefly at both stops then filled up my bottles with ice and water and turned right around and headed out. Roughly 25 miles to go to Quincy Illinois. About 18 miles out I started to run out of steam so I figured when I hit around 10 the miles out mark then I’ll pull over at a gas station and grab a bottle of Mountain Dew. I can drink that down and wait for the sugar and caffeine rush and then finish the ride. I got my dew then crossed the muddy Mississippi.

After crossing the Mississippi there is a pretty good hill climb out of the valley and then 10 miles to go so I just kind of lollygagged, relaxed and took my time. I think my energy level and the mileage pretty much matched up. I’m not sure I could’ve made 80 miles so it was pretty close and a good day. Dinner was outstanding tonight it was catered and was pork medallions and chicken medallions. The chicken was my favorite the pork was OK. We also had a spinach salad with Craisins and mozzarella cheese balls and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing which was outstanding. There were mashed potatoes with butter, bread with butter, green beans, water or soda and butter. oh yeah, there was butter for the potatoes and bread.
Lol. Ok, that’s it, I’m gonna have another 4 glasses of water and call it a night.
