Today’s ride is dedicated to Danielle, Sherri and Ronnie.
Today’s a short ride it should be fairly easy; a couple of hills, a little climbing, cold temperatures and a great day. Today is the day we hit 3000 miles, roughly 400 miles to go. We pulled into town at the SAG stop, had some munchies, took the picture and headed back out on the road.
The next two pictures have an interesting story. In 2022 after coming out of that stop I went by this house and it had a sign about a family activity of bull riding. I never thought of bull riding as a family activity so I stopped and talked to the lady. She said the rodeo circuit comes through and the cowboys stop off in the town and they teach/coach families for bull riding on Saturday night. I thought that was extremely interesting. In 2023 the sign and corrals were still up. This year, the rodeo circuits there. Spoke to a couple of young kids and they stop off, do the rodeo thing Saturday night and then head back out onto the circuit. I’m pretty sure one or two those bulls were looking at me and saying,”come on bud I got something special for you!” No thanks my 175 pounds is no match for an 1100 pound animal.
After leaving this we pedaled a few miles, took a picture of the area and then came upon a fellow rider with a flat. Helped him out and got it taken care of and back on the road, and then we were back on the road. (The guy in the front)
Here is a few more pictures of the landscape, New York hills, the greenery, and the blue skies. What a great day to ride. good golly.
These next couple of pictures are probably my favorite of the day two of them are incredibly green fields with clouds in the background and then the other three are “the road as it it disappears into the distance.” I remember looking at it and thinking oh no…
This last picture is the last terrain picture I have before entering Avon, New York. I thought it was interesting; contrast, black and white specks on field of green.
