11 jun: Wooster to Niles OH.

Today’s ride dedication is for Bill, Don, and Judy.

We started off in very cool temperatures of 45° and fog, it is supposed to clear off and give a high of 66 with a very minimum if any wind. It should be a really good day once the coolness wears off.

Today seemed to be a day of mini farms, larger farms and lots of greenery with the mountains in the background.

I took a nutrition break and around mile 15 and there was a Wheatfield on one corner and an alfalfa field on the other.

Funny, I didn’t notice this until I was reviewing the pictures; it started off as a semi clear day but then as time went on the cloud cover started to build. You can see in this picture of the farm the clouds above the tree line in the background.

Around 2 1/2 to 3 hours later the sky is mostly clouds with just a touch of blue. Everything is just so incredibly green almost like it gets water daily. Actually now that I think about it I’m pretty sure the residents in the area said they’ve been hammered with rain.

As we came into the final SAG stop for the day the traffic circle was large enough to hold a little green park and a memorial.

That’s pretty much all I have for today, tomorrow again roughly 90 miles and we will leave Ohio and touch into Pennsylvania at Lake Erie for a rest day.

Final day

Well this is the final day, 20 miles, most on a bike path, a meetup at Dunkin’ Donuts then a final 4 miles promenade to the Atlantic ocean....
