I’m riding today for two people: Gloria romas who lost her battle and Susan.
Leaving Santa Fe this morning and it’s a beautiful day, sunny, warm and a tailwind. Not much to talk about but beautiful pictures.
Here was an interesting roadside marker, I never really thought the civil war extended as far west as New Mexico. Then a few miles further, after being on I25 for 5 Miles we exited and were greeted with a fruit stand of cherries. Yup, I bought 5 LBS and boy are they good! Oh, besides the cherries my eyes enjoyed this view.
Just phenomenal views. We continued on and spent some rest time at pecos state park, it was really cool, I could have easily spent a day there.
And yes, there were rattlesnakes there, the rangers removed one just before we got there.
Pedaling on another 15_20 miles we got to SAG2.
Finally, we arrived in Las Vegas NM. interesting history, imagine Cortez walked this area.
And tomorrow is another day, 106 miles. Ohhh boy! Good night
It was a pleaser talking with you during your stay in Santa Fe. Thank you for dedicating your ride to Gloria Ramos
