6May headinG to Indio, Ca

 I should have added this sunset pic to yesterdays post, oh well…


Todays ride is dedicated to a friend of  Aldo by the name of Leonardo who is in cancer remission, keep it that way Leonardo!,,


We’re off in the morning, cool temps and a great day, we started out and I connected wit h this couple, delightful pair, great cyclists and very fun.



I’ve seen this before but these mountains are always gorgeous, look close and you can see snow on the peaks. 



The first SAG stop of the Day and a friendly discussion in the store



Then a great climb, maybe 6 miles?  It actually was a good climb for early in the tour, gets the legs moving

These next two pics are really cool, snow capped mountain and sand drifts.


And that’s pretty much the day.  91 miles, some wind then hotel and carb load and about two gallons of water.  I experienced mild cramping the last 10 miles so I need to address that and kill it in its tracks.  Well that’s it for today, bedtime!

Final day

 Well this is the final day, 20 miles, most on a bike path, a meetup at Dunkin’ Donuts then a final 4 miles promenade to the Atlantic ocean....
