21 may. Going to dalhart TX.

I was thinking about cancer patients and the battle they face, the challenges and hurdles they need to overcome.  I created a webpage for donations then a QR code to go directly to my site but apparently the QR code is only valid for a short period.  So much for “free QR code creation”.  I’m putting in the link and hoping people respond.

https://secure.acsevents.org/site/SPageServer?pagename=active_donate_now&FR_ID=106677&fr_id=106677

As long  as the link works properly.  Once loaded it should ask you for participants name.  Enter Fred kern then search. My name will then pop up in a box along with a block that says participant. Tap that and it will allow you to donate Thanks for looking.

Today was a 90 miler through Texas.  There isn’t much to show, it’s pretty much the same scenery.

Oh, wait, here’s RR tracks.
I stopped to lay a penny down and after the train passed I couldn’t find it.

Soon enough we left NM and entered the great state of…

I know what you’re thinking that’s the same picture as two pictures above. Nope, it’s not. As previously stated the scenery is pretty much unchanging. So, to make things very interesting I took these next two pictures.

Then I saw a structure, that was different.

Followed by more scenery.

And finally, I saved the best for last.  I saw this about 5 miles out and couldn’t wait to get closer for a picture.

A grainery; so very cool.  So yes, today was a tongue in cheek photo record.  One guy came on an antelope and it raced him….. he lost big time but it was long gone by the time I got there.
Hopefully tomorrow is better.  Till then, latergator.

Final day

Well this is the final day, 20 miles, most on a bike path, a meetup at Dunkin’ Donuts then a final 4 miles promenade to the Atlantic ocean....
